Cannu-Guard

Cannu-Guard is a sterile anchoring dressing for peripheral IV cannulas made from a flexible non-woven material coated with a very skinfriendly hypoallergenic acrylic adhesive.

Cannu-Guard offers a secure anchoring of the IV cannula and protects the puncture site against contamination from the environment. A small wound pad on top of the puncture site absorbs any exudate or back-flow from the puncture site.

The secure anchoring reduces cannula movements and reduces the risks of the patient developing thrombophlebetis.

Optimum patient comfort

The flexible non-woven material allows the skin to “breathe” and the medical grade adhesive minimizes the risk of skin irritation. Consequently Cannu-Guard ensures maximum patient comfort.

Easy 3-step technique

Cannu-Guard is designed with an approx 5mm slit between the 2 “legs” which ensures an easy positioning around the IV cannula body. Furthermore the backing paper is divided in 3 parts, which enables the fast 3-step application.
