Safe-Derm is a transparent semipermeable filmdressing made of a thin very elastic polyurethane film coated with a hypoallergenic adhesive. With a MVTR (Moisture Vapour Transmission Rate) of 600 g/m2/24H/37¢ªC Safe-Derm ensures a moist healing environment for superficial wounds with little or no exudates. The permeability of the Safe-Derm also prevents maceration when the product is used on un-damaged skin. Safe-Derm is non-permeable to water and micro-organisms and therefore provides an efficient barrier against contamination of wound sites from environment and allows the patient to shower.
